Results of 2025 elections
The elections for the Staff Council for the 2026–2027 term are now over.
We warmly thank the 38 candidates from across all Colleges who chose to stand for election and actively commit themselves to defending the interests of the members of personnel and of CERN.
We would also like to thank everyone who took part in the vote, reaching a participation rate of 41.16%.
Your engagement in these elections has been encouraging, but it is not enough. As we approach the 2027 five-yearly review, we are counting on the active support of all members of personnel and the pensioners so that, together with the new Staff Council, we can affirm our determination to defend the interests of both the personnel and the Organization.
CERN must continue to not only be a laboratory of excellence in high-energy physics, but also an exemplary International Organization in the exercise of its social responsibility.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us: your comments and ideas are essential to the Staff Association.
A candidate withdrew after being elected, 37 delegates form the new Staff Council, whose composition is shown below. It reflects the diversity of the Organization’s sectors and professions. This representativeness is a major asset for the forthcoming discussions between the Staff Association representatives, the Management, and the Member States.
Encouraged by this vote of confidence, we are convinced that the new Staff Council will be awble to count on the active and ongoing support of all members of personnel to meet the challenges of the coming years. Together, we will be stronger and more creative in facing them.
